Two Hearts Headband For Advanced Beginners Crocheters

This headband works up on only one row! In this video we make a headband for a newborn that measures 12". The crochet pattern is below.

TWO HEARTS HEADBAND
Chain 36, make a double crochet in the 3rd chain from the hook, then make a double crochet in the next 8 stitiches. In the next stitch make 2 half double crochets.

HEART
Turn your work around so that you are working onto the half double crochet (see video), Make chain 3, then make 2 treble crochets, 2 double crochets, 2 half double crochets, this completes one side of the heart. Turn your work again to make a double crochet in the original stitch to make tip of the heart (see video) and finally turn your work onto the other half double crochet and make 2 half double crochets, 2 double crochets and 2 treble crochets, then chain 3 and slip stitch in the center to complete the heart.
Next turn your work back onto the foundation stitches and double crochet in the next 8 stitches, then make 2 half double crochets in the next stitch and make another HEART.
Turn your work back onto the foundation stitches and make a double crochet in each stitch across, join with a slip stitch and tie off.

Thank you for watching. If you like this video, then please subscribe. Always remember that you are amazing!

About Me

My photo

Crochet is an ancient art form. Some say its a form of meditation that's beneficial to our health. I enjoy the creative aspect of crochet...when one creates something beautiful and useful from a simple piece of string!
